The General Election is now history. As it turns out, not a whole lot of people in Knox County appeared to care. With a low voter turnout, the incumbents held the day.

Joining Gene Patterson to talk about the results are 6 News political analyst George Korda, political columnist Frank Cagle, political consultant Cortney Piper, and the host of "The Voice" radio show, Lloyd Daugherty.

Then Don Ferguson, Gus Manning and Haywood Harris take a look ahead to another season of Big Orange football.

Harris, a longtime Vols publicist and historian, and Ferguson, author and News Sentinel grammar and history columnist, will once again teach a non-credit course called Big Orange Football Warm-up and More. Back for its eighth year, it gives University of Tennessee football fans a preview of the upcoming season.

Participants will hear from defensive line coach Dan Brooks, as well as SEC referee Rocky Goode. Brooks has coached at UT since 1994 and was named the SEC's outstanding defensive line coach after the 1998 national championship season.

As an added bonus, former UT basketball standout Dane Bradshaw will share stories from his pro career in Europe.

The two-session course is offered Aug. 12 and Aug. 19 by UT's Department of Professional and Personal Development. It will be held from 6:30-8:30 each evening in the Ray Mears Room of Thompson-Boling Arena.

The fee is $59.
