Ending Chronic Homelessness; Pavlis Declares Candidacy for City Council

Knoxville and Knox County are now a couple of years into a ten year plan to end chronic homelessness. The effort is intended to move people from homeless situations to permanent homes. For an update on the plan, Gene Patterson talks to Jon Lawler, the director of the Ten-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness.
Nick Pavlis was a Knoxville city councilman at-large from 1995 until 2003. Now he's hoping to return to the council. This week he announced his intention to run for a council seat in the First District. That seat will be vacated by Joe Hultquist, who is term limited.
In the Final Word, 6 News political analyst George Korda is joined by the head of the Tennessee Conservative Union, Lloyd Daugherty.
