Ron Ramsey for Governor; Farragut Mayor-elect Ralph McGill
Broadcast Date: April 12, 2009

Speaker of the Senate and Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey is one of the most powerful men in state government. He is hoping to become Tennessee's next governor, but first he has to win what will likely be a tough Republican primary.
He talks to Gene Patterson in this week's first segment about the themes he hopes to present to voters as a candidate for governor in 2010 and about the current legislative session.
Then, retired engineer Ralph McGill discusses his major upset win this past week in Farragut. He soundly defeated Eddy Ford's bid for a fifth term as mayor.
The program concludes as always with the Final Word segment. This week, 6 News political analyst and Cortney Piper, with SRW Associates, discuss the week's events.
