6 News reporter Harlow Sumerford fills in this week for Gene Patterson.

In the first segment, U.S. Rep. Jimmy Duncan (R-2nd Dist.) discusses the Tax Day Tea Party movement that took place across the country, as well as issues like the recession, bailouts, and the war in Afghanistan.

Knox County property owners received reappraisal notices in the mail recently. Many were surprised that, even in today's economic downturn, the average property value increase was about 16 percent.

In the second segment, Knox County Property Assessor Phil Ballard explains how property valuation is done and what citizens can do if they think their value appraisal is incorrect.

Then in for a final word for this week's show are 6 News political analyst George Korda and Mike Cohen, a public relations executive with Ackermann PR.
