Knox County schools start Monday, August 17, with a half day of instruction. In the first segment of this week's program, Superintendent Dr. Jim McIntyre takes a look ahead at the school year and his expectations for the system.
Then, Rep. Stacey Campfield (R-Knoxville), a candidate for the 7th District State Senate seat being vacated by Tim Burchett, talks about his campaign for the Republican primary.
And returning for a final word this week are 6 News political analyst George Korda and Lloyd Daugherty, who is the head of the Tennessee Conservative Union.
