Democratic Candidate for Governor Kim McMillan; Top Business Stories of 2008; Election Changes in 2009
Broadcast Date: January 4, 2009

In 2010, the governor's seat will be open. Democrat Phil Bredesen is term-limited after two terms. That means the office is open for the first time in eight years. A number of candidates will be entering the fray.
One of the first to do so is this week's first guest, Kim McMillan. The Clarksville Democrat was the state's first female House majority leader.
McMillan left the House in 2006 to join Gov. Bredesen as a senior advisor. In 2008 she left the governor's office and joined the faculty at Austin Peay University.
McMillan is a UT graduate.
In the second segment, Gene Patterson talks to the editor of the Greater Knoxville Business Journal, Amy Nolan. They discuss the top business stories of 2008, including the recession, gas prices, the financial/credit crisis, and local job losses.
Then, Knox County Election Coordinator Greg Mackay is Gene's guest for the Final Word segment.
