Candidate for Congress Tim Gobble; Candidates for City Council Ray Abbas and Nick Della Volpe
Broadcast Date: October 4, 2009

Tim Gobble is the sheriff of Bradley County and a candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. Congress. He hopes to replace Zach Wamp, who has held the seat for a number of terms and is now running for Tennessee governor.
Sheriff Gobble tells Gene Patterson why he wants to represent the citizens in the Third District.
The Knoxville city election is coming up in just a few weeks. In the second segment, city council candidates in the Fourth District, Ray Abbas and Nick Della Volpe, discuss the campaign and why they think voter turnout in the primary was so low.
Then in the Final Word, Gene is joined by Knoxville News Sentinel Business Editor Amy Nolan and Mike Cohen, an executive with Ackermann Public Relations.
