Candidates for Knox County Commission Republican Primary

Early voting for the May 4 primary is now underway in Knox County and many other Tennessee counties.

So far, a heavy turnout of voter is being seen in the Republican primary.

In this week's program Gene Patterson talks to candidates in two of the contested Knox County Commission races.

First, Republicans Bud Armstrong and Ed Shouse square off. Both are seeking one of the newly-created at-large commission seats.

Then, Mike Brown and Paul Pinkston talk about their race for the 9th Commission District.

In the Final Word segment, 6 News political analyst George Korda and SRW Associates executive Cortney Piper review some of the political advertising on the air during the May primary campaign.
