Knox County Mayor-elect Tim Burchett; Candidate for Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero
Broadcast Date: August 15, 2010

The dust has settled on last week's county election and the winners now must turn from campaigning for a job to figuring out how to fulfill their campaign promises.
Knox County Mayor-elect Tim Burchett is one such candidate. The Republican cruised to a big win over Democrat Ezra Maize.
In the first segment Burchett talks about the challenges he'll face as county mayor.
Then we turn to the campaign for Knoxville city mayor. Gene Patterson's guest in the second segment is Community Development Director Madeline Rogero, who this week announced her intention to again run for mayor.
Just a few years ago Rogero finished a close second to Bill Haslam, who took the Republican nomination for governor in last week's election. She'll join us in our second segment.
In the Final Word, 6 News political analyst George Korda and Mike Cohen, of Ackermann PR, discuss the week's news.

#1 Madeline Rogero
After seeing this on tv I could not believe how Madeleine Rogero could deceive people about the Ten Year Plan. You should be ashamed Madeleine about the lack of honesty.
Your PR left me cold. It isn't where the sites are located. It is the mismanagement of the plan. There will be over 100 of these sites. Not a one of them will have addiction programs. That is being subcontracted and is completely voluntary.
Put your neighborhood up first for one of these. You won't do that will you? But you will put drug addicts next to my children.
No vote for you.
