Inskip School Shooting; Democratic Candidate for Governor Mike McWherter
Broadcast Date: February 14, 2010

Inskip Elementary School Principal Elisa Luna and Assistant Principal Amy Brace were wounded when they were shot at the school on Wednesday. Police say fourth grade teacher Mark Foster is the alleged gunman. They say he shot the administrators after being told he would not be retained next school year.
In the days since the shootings we have learned a lot about Foster from former employers, friends and family members. All say Foster had issues with anger.
Knox County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jim McIntyre and Knox County Schools Supervisor of Psychological Services Dr. Clovis Stair talk about the incident and school system hiring procedures.
Then in the second segment, Gene Patterson has a conversation with gubernatorial candidate Mike McWherter. The son of former Governor Ned McWherter, he is considered one of the frontrunners in the race to win the Democratic nomination.
Mike Cohen with Ackermann Public Relations and Lloyd Daugherty, chairman of the Tennessee Conservative Union, wrap up the show with a discussion about the week's news in The Final Word.
