Referendum to End 10-Year Homeless Plan; Economic Forecast for Tennessee

The Knoxville City Council meeting this week ended in a confrontation between Mayor Bill Haslam and Ron Peabody, leader of a group pushing for a grassroots referendum to abolish the city and county's Ten Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness.
Mr. Peabody explains to Gene Patterson why the group wants to end the plan.
There was good news for Tennessee's economy recently when an amended report by UT's Center for Business and Economic Research was released. The report says Tennessee is on its way to recovery, though it will be a slow one. Joining Gene in the second segment is the author of the report, economist Matt Murray.
6 News political analyst George Korda and Cortney Piper, with SRW and Associates, discuss the difficulties of being successful in passing a local referendum.
