One of the more interesting political races coming this Fall is the Republican primary for the State Senate seat vacated by Jamie Woodson.

Marilyn Roddy, Victoria Defreese and Becky Duncan Massey are vying for the seat.

Marilyn Roddy appeared on this program in May. We plan to invite Victoria Defreese to the program soon.

This week Becky Duncan Massey is Gene Patterson's guest. She will share her views on how the race is stacking up and her stance on some of the issues facing legislators.

Then it's time once again for the pundits panel. Gene is joined this week by 6 News political analyst George Korda, Cortney Piper of Piper Communications, and Metropulse Managing Editor Jesse Mayshark.

The panel discusses State Rep. Julia Hurley's admission that she carved her initials on her House chamber desk and Gov. Bill Haslam's decision to withhold pay raises for some state workers.
