Rebroadcast: March 20, 2011

Gov. Bill Haslam presented this week his first State of the State Address. In it, he proposed a 1.6 percent pay raise for state employees, the first raise in four years.
The governor also called for cuts in state jobs and a top-to-bottom review from all his department heads for additional savings.
Gene Patterson talks to the governor about these budgeting plans and priorities, and then gets a reaction to the governor's budget from Robert O'Donnell, the executive director of the Tennessee State Employees Association.
TSEA is a non-union association which represents the interests of state government workers.
Later, the Tennessee This Week panel of pundits is assembled. Joining Gene are 6 News political analyst George Korda, Cortney Piper of Piper Communications, and Metropulse Managing Editor Jesse Mayshark.
