GOP Candidates for State Senate Dist. 6
Broadcast Date: September 11, 2011

The Knoxville mayor's race has dominated the headlines over the last several weeks. Still, as early voting for the September 27 primary starts there is another important election to consider. Balloting is taking place to select a Republican candidate for the State Senate seat in District 6.
The winner of the primary will face Democrat Gloria Johnson, who is unopposed, for the right to replace Jamie Woodson, who resigned her post earlier this year.
This week's program features the three Republican candidates, Victoria DeFreese, Becky Duncan Massey and Marilyn Roddy.
Later in the program the members of the pundits panel discuss how the State Senate election is shaping up. 6 News political analyst George Korda and Shopper-News Editor Larry Van Guilder also take a look back on the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
