107th Tennessee General Assembly
Broadcast Date: April 22, 2012

The 107th Tennessee General Assembly has been in session since January. Lawmakers are expected to wrap up in their final activities in a few days.
This week, Kristin Farley fills in for Gene Patterson and she talks to three area legislators to find out what are the hallmarks of the last three-and-a-half months and what still needs to be done.
Joining Kristin in the discussion are State Rep. Steve Hall, from Knoxville's District 18, State Sen. Randy McNallly, whose District 5 covers Anderson and Loudon counties, and State Sen. Doug Overbey, from District 8.
Later, Kristin talks to Cortney Piper, from Piper Communications, Craig Griffith, a deputy to former Mayor Victor Ashe, and political columnist Frank Cagle. The pundits talk about politics, of course, but then they set that aside to talk about the biggest event to happen in our area in a while. That happened this past week when Pat Summitt announced she was stepping down after 38 years as the head basketball coach of the Tennessee Lady Vols.
