Trouble in the Tennessee Democratic Party
Broadcast Date: August 12, 2012

The state primaries are behind us and now focus turns to the general election in November.
One big question remains, though, and that is what has become of the Democratic Party?
A major misstep by the party resulted in a win by 32-year-old Mark Clayton for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. Many of Clayton's positions are in direct opposition to the party's. In fact, he is the member of an organization the Southern Poverty Law Center has called a hate group.
Joining Gene Patterson to talk about that and much more is the Knox County chair of the Democratic Party, Gloria Johnson. She is also running for State Representative in District 13.
When the Pundits Panel assembles for this week's discussion, Gene is joined by Cortney Piper of Piper Communications, 6 News political analyst George Korda, and former deputy to Mayor Victor Ashe, Craig Griffith.
