Republican Candidates for State House District 13

State lawmakers redrew the voting maps this year. The redistricting created a new House District 89 in the northwest part of Knox County. Other changes included District 13, which got pushed farther south into part of what had been District 17.

Not long after those changes were made, Democrat Harry Tindell announced he would not be running again for his seat in House District 13. He said the district change made it a coin toss between Democrats and Republicans.

The two men vying in the Republican primary for Tindell's seat join Gene Patterson this week. They are Gary Loe and Vanderbilt Brabson.

Later in the program former deputy to the Knoxville mayor Craig Griffith, Metropulse reporter Cari Wade Gervin, and 6 News political analyst George Korda join Gene to discuss more about the legislative changes, including Shelley Breeding's continued attempt to get on the ballot in District 89. They also talk about the fiery exchange between Special Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood and DIstrict Attorney General Randy Nichols during a court hearing this past week.

#1 Comm Hammond/ Mr Loe

Submitted by larry pennington (not verified) on June 19, 2012 - 7:25pm.

It was not good news to any viewer to hear the panel discuss any thing that may be negative about Mr Hammond... ..not that polls, whatnot should not be discussed..
But Mr Hammond is one of those rational people that is important to our community.

Example: when he was filling in on one of the poitical talk shows,
asking people to just call and say what they would do--in business, science--to solve America's oil dependance.....He inspired people--- to call in with real ideas, and created an atmosphere that we are personally responsible for our economy. And that America is still smart....

On the other hand, Mr Loe, your media appearance included the usual Barack-baiting. You countinued the ideal that we are helpless wimps, at the dependance of Big Government...
Barack has the power he has, because candidates create dependance and fear among the citizens.
Why didnt you say something like " stop watching TTW --and get a job, or make a job, jerk." .....

Sorry to discourage viewing, Mr Patterson.
